Ruby & David Stonebraker

For many of you who are new to Pittsburgh and ISF, we wanted to share the picture above of the founders of ISF - Ruby & P. D. Stonebraker. For as long as we had known Ruby Stonebraker, the radiant joy you see in her face in this picture was typical and came from deep within. 52 years ago, God gave them a vision of internationals coming to Pittsburgh from all over the world. Back in 1960 it was just a few, but they felt led of the Holy Spirit to launch out into a ministry of sharing the love of Jesus with those who come to the shores of America and specifically Pittsburgh. From those initial beginnings, ISF has had contact with internationals from 131 countries/areas of the world. Only eternity itself will reveal all the impact of the lives of these two precious and humble servants who the Lord used in sharing Jesus with internationals. They are both in heaven now, but their influence lives on.

God loves people
any shape, any color, any size.
You don't have to be an angel
to be very special in His eyes.
He said it in John 3:16,
and He proved it on Calvary too.
God loves people
ordinary people,
people like me and you.

John 13:6

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Psalm 116:15

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”

“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

Happy New Year!

     Dear International Friend,

As many of you know, the Founder of ISF, P. D. Stonebraker, passed on to heaven on January 10th, 2012. This faithful man loved and prayed for internationals for more than 52 years. He will be dearly missed, but we rejoice that he has heard the words of Jesus saying, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant enter thou into the joy of thy Lord" (Matt. 25:21). His dear wife, Ruby, went to heaven in 2003 so it must have been a wonderful reunion! Our desire is that the life of this man of God will continue to inspire all of us to be faithful to show God's love to all people of the world. Surely we will remember him every time we sing the words, "God loves people - any shape, any color and any size."

Thanks to all who have e-mailed, came to the funeral and in any way expressed your sympathy. Your continued support of ISF will be a wonderful way to remember the work of love that P. D. Stonebraker and his dear wife Ruby have given their lives for.

We look forward to seeing many of you at our next ISF Gathering on Feb. 10th. This will be just in time for Valentine's Day! May God bless each of you and may His love fill you with hope and encourage you to trust Him with all your heart.

--Terry & Pam Tiberio, ISF Directors
